Call for Abstracts
3rd International Scientific Conference
Multidisciplinary Research on Cultural Heritage (MRCH 2026)
Zagreb, 23–25 September 2026
Organisers: Croatian State Archives, University of Zagreb – Faculty of Graphic Arts, Museum of Contemporary Art
Co-organisers: University of Zagreb – Faculty of Textile Technology, Library of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, ICARUS (International Centre for Archival Research), ERC-BP (European Research Centre for Book and Paper Conservation-Restoration), IIC (The International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works) Croatian group.
The conference is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia.
Building on the success of the three conferences held to date—New Approaches in the Research of Written Cultural Heritage on Paper (2023), Colour in Written Heritage: Multidisciplinary Research (2024) and Multidisciplinary Research on Cultural Heritage (2025) the latter of which marked our second international gathering—we are excited to announce the organization of a fourth conference this year. This event will build upon and expand the multidisciplinary research on cultural heritage introduced by this series.
We therefore invite experts from a range of scientific disciplines, including conservation and restoration, art history, history, graphic arts, linguistics, library science, museology, archival science and others to join us at this year's conference.
The participation is possible through:
• oral presentation
• poster section
• video presentation
For those who wish to participate without presenting, it is also possible to attend the conference as an audience member.
Participation is free of charge, but application for attendance is mandatory (application will be possible after the announcement of the program).
